It was with a mixture of relief and sadness that I read the story about the arrest of Lucy Letby the nurse who has now been charged with the murder of eight babies and the attempted murder of a further ten children at the Countess of Chester Hospital.

We now hear that this lady had previously  been arrested in 2018 and 2019 as part of investigations into the deaths at the neo-natal  unit which began in 2017 and has now been rearrested again this week .

Hopefully this will give the families involved some sense of relief that investigations are moving forward and maybe one day they will feel they can put the horrors behind them to allow them to grieve.
